Birth:
New Pace was born after the 3 graduated from The University of Winchester and Brighton University of Art. Every show created is inspired by the sights and smells of Brighton City.

What we create:
New Pace specialises in interactive and immersive theatre. Looking to explore how interactive theatre can create unique moments in performance through audience participation, interesting visual elements, group experience and intriguing characters. The Work always focuses on the audience's experiences. It allows them to engage at their own pace, providing them with a comfortable yet exhilarating atmosphere brings the best possible outcome for the creative and for us as performers.

Why we do what we do:
Interactive theatre is sometimes a scary world for people, for us it is an exciting thrilling world full of possibilities. A place where audience's can awaken the curious child within them and throw themselves into a world they have never experienced before. We help but pull immersive and site-specific theatre into the mix because it hold hands with our interactive style so perfectly.

Casting:
Our casting is based on the people of different locations in West/East Sussex. In Brighton there's a wide range of variety of styles of living and personality. We look at ordinary people all over West/East Sussex living their day to day lives and base our characters on them. Obviously we don't just pick off random people from the streets and get them to perform out shows, but we look at people and take on actors who we think are suitable and precise to what we're looking for.

Jobs needed:
Director- Leading the creative processes that result in a finished show.
To save money I will be the director for our company. I'll be leading rehearsals, making suggestions for the lighting and sound to go with the performances and also the costume/make-up. It's important for companies to have a director because they bring it all together and without them there'd be no show.

Set Designer- Designing the scenery for the play.
The job title Set Designer is self explanatory, they design the set. They design sets to create different scenes to give the audience a sense of where the characters on stage are, what time period they're in and also what type of mood is given. It's important to have a set designer in order for them to give good ideas for your show. A set designer should be flexible so that other peoples ideas can be taken on board.

The designer I'll be using for my theatre company is:

Show Production Services Ltd

Unit 9 Silverdale, Meadow RdWorthingWest SussexBN11 2RZ

Front of house- Looking after visitors, safety and customer care.
The front of house are responsible for greeting their guests(the audience) making sure that everyone has their tickets to watch the show. During the show and the interval they will be selling food/drinks. It's important for a theatre to have Front of House for the concerns of the visitors considering they have any queries about where they need to go, be seated, and if they're interested in future performances.
The theatre I'm using for my company provides their own front of house staff so I'll not be responsible for hiring them, see further down for theatre information.

Stage Manager- Making sure all the elements of the production go to plan.
The Stage Manager is responsible for many different things and is involved in a lot that goes on backstage, they're in charge. They'll be leading all the sound/lighting cues etc. It's important to have a Stage Manager because the director is going to be running a lot around the theatre and so there needs to be another person taking lead of other things.
The stage management I'll use will be:

Proclamation Theatre Services

Lighting and Sound- Looking after the lighting and sound for productions, ensuring the stage is lit according to the design and also music and sound effects.
They operate the lighting and sound that is appropriate for the performance which helps create a mood set for different scenes in the performance. It's important to have people operating the lighting and sound decks because well someone has to do it.
I'll be using this company for my theatre:

Showtec Lighting & Sound

Producer
The producer manages the financial and managerial sections of a production or venue and raises or provides financial backing, and hires personnel for creative positions. It's important to have a producer because as well as getting the performance well rehearsed there needs to be someone advertising the show, selling tickets to the public and making sure that the company are working with in a budget.
For this I'll be receiving sponsors funded from The National Theatre.
